A 2020 Recap from Contractors Cloud

As we close the books on this year and welcome 2021 with open arms, let’s take a look at the positives that came out from the Contractors Cloud camp in 2020.

RainMaker Alpha

My DashboardRainMaker has been going through various iterations and after many sessions and focus groups with customers, we fine-tuned the new Contractors Cloud new alpha version RainMaker and we couldn’t be more excited!

We updated the UI and UX with new menus, dashboards, layouts, and mobility.

Pretty much everything has been updated with expanded functionality whilst keeping the look and feel that defines Contractors Cloud.

We really sunk our teeth in improving our technology this year and the feedback we have received is great.  Thank you to all of our customers who provided valuable insights.

Contact your rep if you would like to get early access to RainMaker.

Trade Shows

Before the pandemic, Contractors Cloud attended several trade shows. Some of our highlights include Win The Storm (WTS)  the International Roofing Expo (IRE). It was awesome hanging out with friends, colleagues, customers, and meeting new people. Dwight, Rebecca, Joe, Kelly, and Mike worked hard during these shows and had some fun as you can with these pictures.

Partners and New Integrations

During the lockdown, we hunkered down and focused efforts on integrating Contractors Cloud with other incredible apps. Our amazing partners BASYS Processing and SalesRabbit were added this year.  With BASYS you can now enjoy a fully integrated acceptance of credit and debit card payments. SalesRabbit is a great tool for tracking leads, manage areas, and to collect initial sales data. It is primarily a canvassing sales tool.

We did a great webinar with our friends at CompanyCam in the fall about how a happy customer is really the true metric you need to focus on when calculating return on investment (ROI). You can watch the archived webinar here.

New Faces to the Crew

We are always looking to expand our team with amazing talent and this year we had the pleasure to add Ricardo Mazzi and Holly Coil to our staff.  Ricardo, our Director of Marketing, comes with extensive experience in digital marketing in various industries. As we prepare for new releases in Contractors Cloud and expanding our national footprint, our marketing efforts will be instrumental for our positioning in the market, solidifying our brand, expansion in other verticals, working with our amazing partners, and sharing amazing success stories from our customers.  He also plays some mean drums which is perfect as the in-house band was looking for one!

Holly is a great addition to our Customer Success team. We needed to staff up our support team to adequately serve our growing customer base.  Holly is a highly energetic, outgoing, and detail-oriented person and equipped with software tech experience. Her smile is contagious and her dedication is inspiring. #GoHolly

National Women in Roofing

This year we are very proud of our very own Rebecca Streit and Kelly Troska as they assumed council leadership of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Women in Roofing.

National Women in Roofing (NWIR) is a volunteer-based organization that supports and advances the careers of women roofing professionals. They provide networking, mentoring, education, and recruitment opportunities from the rooftop to the boardroom, for the young professional at the start of her career to the seasoned manager in the executive suite.

Annandale Mayor Steps Down After 19 Years of Public Service

What does this have to with Contractors Cloud?

Our CEO, Dwight Gunnarson, has been involved in the Annandale, MN local government for 19 years and has been the city’s mayor for the past 6 years!  This is is his last month as mayor.  You can read more about his accomplishments and outstanding service to the local community in our blog post here.

Thank you, Mayor Dewey!

Contractors Cloud User Group on Facebook

It may sound like a cliche, but our customers mean A LOT to us. We really mean that.

This year we launched our User Group on Facebook. What better way to get feedback to improve our software than from our customers?  We also provide members early access to new features and updates and gather invaluable information that informs our product development. The User Group also serves as a platform for our users to engage with others, interact, ask questions, and help each solve problems, share wins, and have fun!

Our Website Got a Facelift

We revamped the very website you’re viewing now. Loaded with new branding styles, pages, blog posts, and a more streamlined navigation system, our marketing needed to hone in on our target audiences, positioning, and key messaging. It is important that all our touch points (emails, landing pages, graphics, etc.) have a consistent look and feel, and this new branding strategy will be the foundation of how we expand and evolve all our digital properties.

Not only did we revamp our website, but we also made serious improvements to our technical infrastructure.  Our engineering team migrated our technology to better and faster servers to improve performance, stability, and security to Contractors Cloud. #GoTeam

Wrapping It Up

Hard to summarize this year and to think 2020 is finally ending is quite surreal.

Maybe we would not have survived 2020 without Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other streaming services that allowed us to binge watch and work from home.

But one thing is for certain is that we are extremely grateful for all that we have achieved, for the passion and dedication of our amazing team, our families, and our customers.

We look forward to next year with a lot of enthusiasm and wish everyone health and happiness.  Thank you for being part of our journey.
